Sáenz de Santa María Abogados represented the Chilean shipping and logistics company, Agencias Universales S.A., in their attempt to hijack the domain gen.com from a private company in the United States. The domain was originally registered in 1996, but the Chilean concern said it had common law and other rights dating to 1960.
The panel disagreed, handing up its ruling on June 22, 2020.
