A customer relationship marketing company, based in Asheville, North Carolina, has been found guilty of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking by a panel of the World Intellectual Property Organization. The three-member panel found Lolo, LLC, which has trademarks registered in 2014 and 2018, misrepresented facts in the case. The WIPO panel also cited Lolo for using its UDRP filing as a “Plan B” effort to acquire a domain, which had been available on the aftermarket, from various sellers, since at least 2013. The RDNH ruling was handed up January 31, 2023.
