Cat Fight Over RedCat.com Ends With RDNH Ruling

An Australian company apparently engaged in the hospitality industry has been found guilty of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking in connection with its UDRP filing to gain the transfer of the domain redcat.com from its current registrant. The company, Redcat Pty Ltd, has Australian trademark registrations from 2024. The domain, itself, was registered in October of 1996.

A three-member panel of the World Intellectual Property Organization, led by panelist Nick J. Gardner, handed up the RDNH ruling on August 6, 2025. The two other panelists included Lynda Zandra-Symes and the Honorable Neil Brown KC.
