Chai Research Corp. has been found guilty by a one-person panel of the National Arbitration Forum of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking, after filing a failed UDRP action to grab the domain name, chai.new. The panelist, Eduardo Magalhães Machado, handed up his ruling on August 7, 2025, noting the respondent company was also using the term “chai” in commerce, and had been doing so, after a probe at the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine.
