DNA Testing Company Hit With RDNH Trying To Swipe GenomeDX.com

Case Number: NAF 2147139

Complainant: Verycyte, Inc.

Represented by: Rosaleen Chou of Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear, LLP

Veracyte, Inc., VCYT in the NASDAQ exchange, has been found guilty of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking by a single-member panel of the National Arbitration Forum, after attempting to use the UDRP process to force a transfer of the domain name GenomeDX.com from its current registrant. The respondent in the case did not reply to the UDRP; nonetheless, the panel found Veracyte’s attempt to claim common-law trademark rights fell far short of the requirements to prove any rights in the domain name.

Panelist David E. Sorkin handed up a ruling of RDNH against Veracyte, Inc. on April 18, 2025.
