Case Number: 2005377

Complainant: Paymentus Corporation

Represented by: Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP

Fintech company Paymentus Corporation, of Redmond, Washington, has been found guilty of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking after trying to use the UDRP process to transfer the domain ipnpaymentus.com. A single-member panel of the National Arbitration Forum concluded RDNH after determining Paymentus had submitted willfully false statements. The RDNH ruling was handed up on August 23, 2022, even though the was no response from the domain owner.

In issuing his ruling, panelist Alan L. Limbury observed that the complainant, in having to make a supplemental filing, revealed untrue statements from the complainant’s original UDRP filing. “The Amended Complaint acknowledges that the domain name was registered onĀ November 18, 2014 and that Complainant’s mark was registeredĀ on December 13, 2016. Accordingly, Complainant’s statement … ‘mark was registered at the time Respondent registered the domain’ … was knowingly false,” he wrote.
