Red Hat, Inc., which website operators will know as the maker of Linux-based operating systems and software, has been found guilty of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking after trying to use the UDRP process to take the domain wemakefedora.org from a Swiss open-source software organization. A single-member panel of the National Arbitration Forum found Red Hat brought the complaint primarily to harass the Swiss organization, Software Freedom Institute SA. Panelist Alan L. Limbury handed up his ruling of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking on March 14, 2022.
