Telescope Company Files Short-Sighted UDRP, Gets RDNH

A California company specializing in the placement and operation of leased telescopes for astronomical observation has been found guilty of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking, after a failed UDRP complaint to gain control of the domain sro.com. A one-person panel at the World Intellectual Property Organization handed up the ruling against Sierra Remote Observatories LLC, which operates in the Fresno valley.

The panelist, Nick J. Gardner, handed up his ruling on August 9, 2025.
