University Hospitals Of Geneva Found Guilty Of RDNH

University Hospitals of Geneva (Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève) has been found guilty of Reverse Domain Hijacking by a three-member panel of the World Intellectual Property Organization. However, the RDNH ruling was not unanimous.

University Hospitals had attempted to grab three domains: hug.com, hug.net and hug.org, all owned by Aydin Karadeniz of Santa Monica, California. The domains are registered at GoDaddy.com. They were represented by LHA Avocats, a Geneva-based law firm, with two partners dedicated specifically to Intellectual Property Law.

The WIPO ruling was handed up October 10, 2016.
